**Background**

The team behind CryptoLock is composed of seasoned professionals with a rich history of collaboration and innovation in the fintech, blockchain analytics, insurtech, and enterprise data solutions. Their journey began four years ago with the development of a pioneering no-code, API-first insurance platform, which quickly attracted the attention of VC-backed managing general agents, reinsurers and insurer early adopters in the cybersecurity insurance space, addressing the emergent need for digital transformation in the insurance industry to adapt to ever evolving cyber risks.

The decision to pivot towards addressing the complexities of crypto asset recovery stemmed from their firsthand observations of ransomware demands being settled in cryptocurrency, as well as the vast number of hacks and scams happening to both corporates and individuals in crypto. Recognizing the opaque nature of the crypto asset recovery process and the low adoption rates of personal cybersecurity products, the team saw an opportunity to leverage their diverse expertise to tackle these challenges head-on. Their understanding of the transformative potential of LLMs in democratizing access to security solutions further motivated them to embark on this ambitious project.
